Good things are happening in Washington! Last night was truly special as we participated in Speaker Johnson’s Taxpayers Victory Party celebrating the passage of the budget bill, the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act” (OBBB).

The main reason we are so excited about this new budget is because it defunds Planned Parenthood for one year! Of course, we had hoped it would be for more than one year, but we rejoice in what we expect to see because of the bill’s passage — Planned Parenthood clinics closing and babies’ lives saved. We know you rejoice with us and thank our Lord for this wonderful outcome!

  • Peggy Nienaber met with Intercessors for America’s Legislative Liaison Heather Stoner to share what Faith & Liberty does on Capitol Hill and pray with her for IFA’s ministry.

  • Last week, Day Gardner and other hosts of The Vision interviewed Peggy for the television program, which will air in November. Day Gardner, founder and president of the National Black Pro-life Union and former Miss Delaware, co-hosts with Alveda King on The Vision.  Alveda King is a minister, pro-life activist, and a senior adviser to President Trump’s Faith Office. Our chairman, Mat Staver, also recently interviewed Dr. King on the Freedom Alive television program, which you can watch here.

  • We met this week to continue planning a women’s brown bag lunch for this fall.

COMING SOON

  • On Tuesday morning, Peggy will join Rep. Andy Ogles and the Parents Demanding Justice Alliance for a press conference. At this event, a dossier titled “Testimonies of Parents Targeted by DOJ Weaponization: 2021-2025” will be submitted to the Federal Weaponization Working Group. It also features parent testimonies and calls for an executive order to provide restitution.

  • We will participate in a dinner and lecture hosted by House Majority Leader Steve Scalise on Tuesday evening.

  • Faith & Liberty will meet Wednesday with representatives from Men of Nations, a men’s prayer movement that will be praying as the sun rises over our nation’s capital.

  • We look forward to a cookout with the interns and staffers at our Ministry Center on Wednesday evening.

  • The Faith & Liberty staff will participate in a briefing on Women and Girls in Sports with the House Republican Policy Committee staff this week.

  • Peggy will be attending the Pro-Life 115 Forum on Thursday.

  • Our team is planning the She Leads America Summit in October. The group will be praying with women members of Congress along with holding briefings at the White House.

  • Our annual Prayer Retreat is coming up early next month! The prayer retreat is our time to take a day and go before God and thank Him for our supporters by name and pray for their needs.
