Lives are on the line in this budget

Apr 30, 2025

Our nation stands at a crossroads. Recent budget negotiations have highlighted a troubling trend: the willingness of some lawmakers to trade moral convictions for political expediency. Some are thinking about continuing to fund Big Abortion with tax dollars in order to advance other priorities. But this is a redline issue for me.

Nothing is worth building if its foundation is on the bodies of dead and discarded babies! If we don’t push back now, our hard-earned tax dollars could continue to fund abortion providers in exchange for backroom political horse trades. This must not happen.

It is NOT enough to claim that people care about ending this funding — these legislators need to hear straight from you with a flood of faxes demanding protection for these babies from our tax dollars paying for their deaths.

Not a single penny should go to Big Abortion. However, last year taxpayers sent 699.3 MILLION dollars to Planned Parenthood alone, and that's just one of the companies causing these deaths. Your tax dollars are aiding and abetting these murders. End this abuse with your faxes today urging Congress to STOP funding to ALL PLANNED PARENTHOODS and other Big Abortion providers.

These “clinics” value personal paychecks more than patient health. There was one clinic where “sewage from a backed-up toilet seeped into the abortion recovery room for two days.” Rather than fixing the problem or delaying abortions until there were sanitary conditions, employees simply shoved “exam table pads under the bathroom door to block the leak” from escaping. But they couldn’t do anything to block the smell. “Patients vomited from the stench,” a report states.

All while this was going on, “Planned Parenthood prioritized pouring millions of dollars into woke lobbying and trying to defeat Republicans in races from the school board to the presidency. Planned Parenthood boasts that their advocacy and political organizations spent a massive 69.5 million [dollars] during the 2024 election cycle.”

They obviously don’t need the extra money from our taxpayer dollars. So why are we still funding them? Tell this to Congress now.

A coalition letter is being delivered to Congress to educate them on why the Big Abortion groups must be defunded. This letter states, “Their massive pro-abortion political arm, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, pushes all-trimester abortions and promotes fearmongering lies that put women and girls at needless risk. Their political arm has more lobbyists and spends more on federal lobbying than any other pro-abortion or pro-life group, spending more than half a million dollars in the first quarter of 2023 alone” (emphasis added).

This is a David-and-Goliath moment where we are going up against the best-funded lobby group in the entire nation. We need your help to hold Congress’ feet to the fire. Right now, they are rushing to pass a budget resolution and reconciliation package — a massive spending deal that could total nearly 2 trillion dollars. But buried in this fast-moving process is a dangerous willingness by some lawmakers to continue funding Big Abortion in exchange for political deals.

This is exactly how Planned Parenthood survives — not on care for women — but on cronyism and backroom deals funded by your tax dollars.

And this year’s battle is even more shocking.

According to reports from NPR, Senate negotiators have been meeting behind closed doors for weeks, trying to craft a spending deal that can pass with only 51 votes in the Senate.

And at the heart of this fight is an issue with abortion funding. Some in the Senate especially are actively working to strip Hyde protections or sidestep them through funding maneuvers buried in this budget process. If we don't act now, Planned Parenthood and other abortion giants could see a taxpayer-funded payday worth billions over the next decade.

Let me be clear: This is blood money.

And it’s all happening at a moment when Planned Parenthood’s real priorities are fully exposed to put profits over people.

This is corruption at every level — morally, financially, and politically.

We must not let Congress reward Planned Parenthood’s blood-soaked business model with one more dime of our tax dollars.

The coalition letter to Congress makes this clear: Planned Parenthood is not a health care provider — they are a political machine profiting from death. They are the largest pro-abortion lobbying force in America, spending more on lobbying than any pro-life group in the nation.

But even the strongest coalition letter is not enough.

Congress needs to hear from you. They need to know that:

  • Americans will not be silent while innocent life is used as a political bargaining chip.

  • Voters demand that the Hyde Amendment be protected and expanded — not gutted.

  • Funding Big Abortion is a line in the sand.

This is where you come in. Fax Congress right now. Tell them: Not one penny for Planned Parenthood or any abortion provider. Not now. Not ever.

Together, we can send a tidal wave of grassroots outrage to drown out Planned Parenthood’s bloody lobbying dollars.

Lives are on the line. Will Congress hear only from Planned Parenthood’s lobbyists — or from you, too?
