Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital

The Faith & Liberty Monday Report

Apr 3, 2023

God has given Faith & Liberty the privilege of ministering on Capitol Hill for years, and we do not take it lightly. He has placed us here to be a witness for Christ and to stand for life, liberty, and the family. Like Christians in the early church, we must always seek to bring Christ’s presence wherever He leads.

In Romans 5:5, the Apostle Paul tells Christians living under the Roman Empire that “God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” God’s love was desperately needed by believers living under that oppressive regime. Rome didn’t tolerate well the followers of The Way, as the early Christians were called. Today, believers in Jesus as the only way to God also are becoming less tolerated in our supposedly tolerant society.

In Acts 5, we see the believers meeting “with one accord in Solomon’s Porch” at the temple. The church was unified, and signs and wonders were happening among them, but beyond that, verse 13 is striking: “Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly.”

At Faith & Liberty, we want to serve so well that we also are esteemed highly. God’s love must flow from our hearts through our Bible studies, intern events and more. Lord, help us share your love! Do I hear an Amen?

THE MONDAY RECAP
  • Peggy Nienaber attended the Brave Books Story Hour at Cleveland Park Library in Washington, D.C., last week. Kirk Cameron, Chaya Raichik, Sean Spicer and others read their newly published children’s books — As You Grow, The Parrots Go Bananas!, and No More Secrets: The Candy Cavern. Peggy had an opportunity to speak with Kirk privately to share about the Ministry Center and the opportunities there for many congressional staffers.

PRAYER

Lord, we pray:

That Faith & Liberty would be a light in Washington, D.C.

That we would attract unbelievers through the love poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

That the gospel would go forth in power this week through our Good Friday service and Easter.

That the cause of life would prevail on Capitol Hill and throughout the states.

That the natural order of the family would be honored in our land.

That not only would God bless America, but that America would bless God.

That God would be glorified through Faith & Liberty as we minister on Capitol Hill and from our Ministry Center.
