We can’t believe 2023 is upon us! We’ve shared here before about the importance of remembering what God has done in the past and we believe wholeheartedly He is present today. As we look ahead, we know He continues to be Emmanuel, “God with us.”

Do you believe God is with you as we enter 2023? We pray you also know Him as Emmanuel today. He truly is our blessed hope!

“For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe” (1 Timothy 4:10).

  • Planning continues for the Prayers & Remembrance—Victims of Roe event, which will be held January 22.
  • New congressional members’ swearing-in ceremonies. Attending these ceremonies gives us the opportunity to meet new members of Congress and pray with them. We will extend invitations to congressional staffers to attend our Bible studies and events at our Ministry Center.
  • Bible studies resume with new subjects to begin the new year.
  • Congressional intern and staffer events are being planned for those who are new this term.

To stay informed on issues in Washington and play your part as a citizen and a Christian look for the Faith & Liberty emails throughout the week. We are in this fight together to defend and preserve those values and principles we all cherish.


PRAYER CONCERNS

Gratitude: We thank God for the blessings of 2022, especially for those who attended our Bible studies and gave their lives to Christ. We pray for these new believers to be fully established in their faith and in the church.

Impact: Pray that God would enlarge our territory, as Jabez prayed in 1 Chronicles 4:10, and help us have even greater influence and impact! Pray that we would advance God’s kingdom on the earth and specifically on Capitol Hill.

Obedience: Pray that we would keep in step with the Holy Spirit in our ministry—from sharing the scriptures with a young intern to meeting with a key leader in the halls of Congress.

Vigilance: Pray we would be guarded from any attempt of the evil one to attack us when we least expect it. Pray we would be ever vigilant to keep putting on the armor of God and continually be filled by His Spirit. We pray that God would thwart any harm or spell against our ministry and our team because of our stand for life, liberty and the family.
