Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Jun 6, 2022
Faith and liberty. These key words are part of our ministry’s name, and preserving faith and liberty as a way of life is what drives us.
Our presence in Washington, D.C., at this critical hour only heightens our awareness of the need to uphold these foundational principles. This we do in the halls of Congress, at the Supreme Court and around Capitol Hill.
In this day and time, we are observing the decline of the values that helped America rise as a nation. And today, June 6, we mark the 78th anniversary of D-Day, the infamous day the Allied Forces set out to overcome Hitler’s Nazi forces during World War II. We must remember what they fought and died for, as the operation left more than 10,000 injured and over 4,000 dead. We must honor their sacrifice for American freedom over tyranny. How different America would look without this liberty we prize!
Ultimately, though, we value the kind of liberty only the gospel of Jesus Christ can give. We are thankful for His sacrifice for our salvation above all.
For America's Future,
Peggy Nienaber, Vice President

PRAYER CONCERNS
Today was another opinion day at the Supreme Court, which has not yet released the final ruling on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. But we know it won’t be long before we find out if the Court will finally overturn Roe v. Wade. Pray for the protection of the Justices and that the official opinion will come down on the side of life.
We are thankful for God's protection during this turbulent time ahead of the release of the Dobbs decision. The area in front of the Supreme Court has fencing three layers deep, and some streets and sidewalks are blocked, limiting pedestrian and vehicle traffic. We are taking safety measures but continue to pray for the safety of our staff and protection of our property.
Pray for this month's International Religious Freedom Summit, that the event will truly help the persecuted and glorify God. Pray for the preparation of the speakers—Senior Counsel for Governmental Affairs Jonathan Alexandre, Liberty Counsel; Camp Constitution co-founder Hal Shurtleff; and Faith & Liberty staff—for Liberty Counsel’s breakout session.
Pray for wisdom as we plan for the fiscal year. Our staff will meet in mid-June.
Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!
