Transforming lives with Good News in the Nation’s Capital
Apr 18, 2022
I pray you and your family had a wonderful weekend celebrating our risen Lord!
We were not able to obtain a permit to hold an event on Good Friday that we used to have on Capitol Hill in years past, however, a small group of us still gathered to pray and observe the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. Though the gathering on the Hill had to be kept to no more than five people, it was still a wonderful time of prayer and reflection. As Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them” (Matt. 18:20).
I hope you were blessed by the Countdown to the Resurrection devotionals provided by Faith & Liberty’s Lead Missionary Rev. Greg Cox. If you missed any of the devotionals during the countdown, you can access all twelve of those messages here.
While Holy Week is a special time to acknowledge, give thanks and celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ, this message is something we get to celebrate and proclaim all the year through. And the team at Faith & Liberty is uniquely called and positioned to share this good news with our nation’s leaders.
One of the ways we accomplish our mission is through the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon. The entire Bible, from Genesis through Revelation, will be read aloud for 24-hours a day over a period of five days (April 30 – May 4). People from around the world will take part, including some members of Congress. See more details below and learn how you can get involved.
Thank you for your prayers and generous financial support. People on Capitol Hill need to be challenged with the Word of God and we need you to make that happen.

We must all stay tuned in to what is happening in our nation’s capital. To stay informed on issues in Washington and play your part as a citizen and a Christian, look for Faith & Liberty's ACTION emails throughout the week. We are in this fight together for the soul of our nation.
PRAYER CONCERNS
Faith & Liberty recently messaged on the horrors revealed in Washington, DC, concerning an abortion center and babies that may have been born alive before they were killed. This should drive all of us to our knees to see an end to abortion and for our nation to repent of its slaughter of the unborn.
It is also a reminder to pray for the Dobbs Supreme Court opinion that will be released soon. We are closer to seeing Roe v. Wade overturned than we have ever been!
Pray for our team as we prepare for the U.S. Capitol Bible Reading Marathon. The Word of God is powerful, and we pray for hearts to be changed through this one-of-a-kind outreach.
Pray that Faith & Liberty will continue to be a light for the gospel through our Bible studies, events and personal connections with key leaders and congressional staffers. Pray that our light would shine brightly and that we would be empowered to fight the good fight in our strategic ministry on Capitol Hill.
Our efforts to bring the Word of God to bear on the hearts and minds of our public policy makers are only possible because wonderful friends like you stand with us both in prayer and in your generous financial support! Thank you!
Make a difference and partner with us.
